My b button is apperantly being pressed

1. Is your controller an official Xbox controller or a MadCatz (or aquivelent). not all unofficial controllers will work correctly with xbox 360 console.

2. if it is an official or an unofficial controller you used before then check sensitivity layout on the games, you could have it set to high and the slightest press can set it off w/o you knowing.

3.As they said above, get a new controller if all else fails.

if you're using a custom made controller they might of resembled the controller wrong it happened to a friend mine before ;D

This could be a problem with the board in the controller, your best bet is to take it back and exchange it for a new one, if that isn't an option, you could try and opean the controller up and check the guts, but i would go with the ladder

When did this issue start to happen?

Is it happening on all your games or only some games?

I see you posted this on the Xbox cloud gaming category. Are you playing on the cloud on the console, PC or mobile? And does this issue happens when you are playing games installed on the console or computer (not on the cloud)?

Also, have you tried to update your controller firmware or rollback a firmware version to see if the issue gets better?

Could you try using another controller if possible, just to check that it's actually that controller that's having problems?

If another controller is working fine, then there's a few possibilities.

-

1: (From personal experience) Is there anyone else with you who may have another controller and possibly pressing buttons just to annoy you? It's happened to me before.

2: I wouldn't recommend opening up the controller, you could just damage it more. Also I don't think the buttons are all stuck/screwed down to the controller, so taking the top off may make the buttons fall out. There's also the possibility of your cracking/snapping
part of the top while trying to take it off.

3: Try different batteries, it could be the batteries causing the controller to do strange things.
