My add-on storage won’t download games

I understand you need help on your storage problem.

Have you already tried using a different external storage device? As the one you are using right now might be having some issues for some reason.

Or try using another cord for the device and see how it goes. Try other USB ports as well too.

To determine whether the problem is the storage device or not, it would be better to test this on other consoles or try a different hard drive because if this is already a failure on the drive, I would already suggest having this replaced if you just bought this.

That didn’t change anything. Decided to try and reinstall the game to see if that fixes the issue. Also, won’t download the add-ons til the main game is installed.

Just to add to my earlier answer:

If you do not see the download in progress, look for it in your storage devices. Go to Settings/System/Storage/All Devices/Games&Apps/Minecraft and see if it is there.

If not, go back to Settings and instead go to Account then Download History, choose Minecraft and press A to download again. It will then be placed in the Queue, which you can find using steps I mentioned earlier.

If it is in your storage device, from the Dashboard go to Games/My Games and look for it there. Then just press A to launch it.

I have alsmot the exact same problem. I moved my xbox one and now it won’t recognize my external storage and says I have way less storage available than I know I do. All the games that I play are uninstalled because they were installed to my external storage.
Someone please help!!

When I tried downloading one of my old arcade games from my DL history, there was no option to change the storage device as far as I could see. But there is another way to do it.

1. Choose something to download from the Xbox 360 Store (something free like a demo).

2. Add what you really want to download to your queue.

3. Go to your downloads queue. Select the second item that should be still pending. Follow the information on the screen to change the download storage device.

4. Cancel the first download.

When the first download is cancelled, the second item begins to download and since you changed the storage location, it will now download to there instead of the default storage device.
