    My Account was communication banned because I was being harassed


    My Xbox live account has been banned due to homophobic remarks made towards me. I was in a party chat as was being thrown all this abuse. My friend messaged me as he was in the party with me to this point I said the person giving the abuse was a “sly b****”.
    I feel this is unfair me being banned when I was strictly standing up for myself. The ban was in place for the message I sent to a friend about this situation. Now I cannot speak to anyone for 1 week!! How can this be sorted?

    so did I get banned on my account for two weeks because I asked questions on forums... so much for this place being safe... it says I harassed and or abused someone but is that really what I did for a asking why I got communication banned?

    I was Abuse and harassment banned 1 days after being communication banned I get why I was communication banned and learned from my lesson but I do not understand how I could of abused someone or harassed anyone while I was still communication banned please
    lift the ban Account is Arisonzombies75 p.s the filing case review isn't working so what an i meant to do nothing is appearing after i do the question air..

    The enforcement team is the only ones who deal with bans/suspensions. They dont use or look at the forums.

    It doesnt matter if you were just defending your friend. If you send a message that breaks the code of conduct (which your message did) then you can be suspended.

    The only way to reach the enforcement team would be by filing for a case review (if the suspension is eligible for one) however this would be pointless since you already admitted to sending a message that breaks the rules.

    Because you also violated the code of conduct. In situations like that, it's best to just report the other person, block communications with them, and not respond. It doesn't matter if the person you send the message to is a friend. What you said violated
    the rules you agreed to when you signed up.

    See I have no problem with the communications ban I deserve that but my profile being banned is the problem it was banned because I reported there messages as they sent them. I never reported one message more than once but they say it's harassment all I
    did was report the person's message because he was harassing me about being banned. And if you would have read it through you would have seen that I admitted to deserving the com's ban instead of trying to be the all mighty it's your behavior that's the problem
    and just a heads up I am not the only person that thinks the enforcement team should be changed in a couple of ways like the way they communicate between the banner and the person being banned

    So the decision was upheld and the reason is i reported a persons messages to much. Just to be clear i didnt report one message over and over agin the players continuously messaged me and mocked me about being banned and the person is the buddy of the person
    who got me banned. So i got banned for harassment because i was reporting the person who was harassing me while i was still communication banned.
