My account may have been compromised and I can't change my password.

My friend sent me a very alarming picture, on his Xbox it was displayed that I was online and playing Star Wars: Battlefront II. I was not online and I don't own that game. I went to this guide https://support.xbox.com/en-US/my-account/security/compromised-account-solution to
see if I could fix it, and somewhere along the line I ended up sending a request to change my security info (providing a phone number as a recovery contact instead of a now-deleted email address). If I try to cancel the request, the code is offered to be sent
to the now-deleted email address with no alternative. Same thing for the "let us know" option. I can't change my password for a month now. I am extremely anxious about not being able to change my Microsoft password for a month when there is a chance it has
been compromised and I would greatly appreciate any help I can get.

Select Billing & accounts in the category area

Select See other options

Select How to Protect My Account

Select Show contact options

Select Request a call from Support

Try to contact microsoft support about that compromised account and send pictures of the problem and im sure they will help you fix that

I agree with this. If the account compromised solution is not working for you, then contact support directly.

The best way to talk with them is by heading to the following site:
https://support.xbox.com/contact-us

From there, select a category, like Xbox One. Then, click on "See other options", which is under "ask a question."

After that, you should be able to pick a topic. I would suggest, "recover my account."

Once you do that, there should be an option that says, "Show contact options." Select it, and then hit, "chat with Xbox Support."

Your account may have been compromised, try changing your password.

If you have changed your account password they can't sign in without having to enter the password first aswell.
