My account keeps getting locked

to get a phone call from Support go to https://beta.support.xbox.com/contact-us

click the Contact us button

select Family and online safety as the category

select I want to protect my account as the topic

skip the Covid notification

scroll to the bottom of the options and select Request a call

you will need to sign in for this.

if you can't sign in to your account you can create a new outlook account just to contact Support

Thanks for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are required to verify a security code every time you try to sign in to your account. Are you using the Xbox One, Xbox 360 or Windows 10 computer? We recommend signing in to your Microsoft
account on
the Microsoft account website through a different device like a tablet or smartphone. If signing in to the website prompts you to enter the security code, go ahead and complete the process. Once you are signed in to your account on the website, try signing
in on your console or computer. Be sure to let us know the results!

Reasons I've seen this happen:

1. Multiple accounts registered on the same IP in a short amount of time (ex: Creating 5 Microsoft accounts in 5 minutes on the same wifi/device) This causes your IP to be marked as spam

2. You've used that phone number to verify multiple accounts and you've used that phone number the max amount of times (Eventually this timer resets but I'm not sure entirely when, I believe it's about a month)

Way you can get around this:

1. Try registering your account on a different IP address (at your friends house, at work, etc)

2. Use a different phone number. (ask to use a trusted friends phone number or a family member, make sure it's someone you trust as this is important info they'll be receiving and you're responsible for your account)
