My account is still say that I am a child, when I have 18 years old, how can a change that?

Are you legit 18?

Normally the system would graduate your account when the date of birth that you entered into the system finally turns 18.

If you do have any problems and changing your privacy settings as previously posted didn't resolve the issue, then try going looking at the information here on

Parental consent and Microsoft child accounts. and see if that helps any.

If your account is still a child account due to age you would still need the parental account to oversee any changes to the settings. If the account is an adult account you would be able to do this. Do you still have a child account? (under 18 years old)

No, I am 18 years old, but could have lied when creating account for MSN, maybe in 2004. Now I have changed the DOB to my real one, and I am 18. But no to the family pack anyway D:

The age of your account is determined by the birthdate you entered when you created your account.

If according to that birthdate your account is 18 years old, it'll automatically become an adult account.

While you can try to see and change your birthdate at https://account.microsoft.com/profile/ it will not change the birthdate of your Xbox profile. So you will still be
stuck with needing an adult parent account.

If you do have an adult account, you can try to sign in to that adult account, and go to
https://account.microsoft.com/family and add your child account to that account's family.

Or if the account is incorrectly classified as a child account, try to
verify the incorrect child account to be an adult account according to the instructions here.
