My Account is on an kid mode and I can't change it.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. If you have made a child account then that account will stay a child until its 18th birthday. This goes by the birthdate you put in on Xbox. As the Microsoft birthdate can be changed, the Xbox side is not allowed to
be changed. If this was a mistake then you will need to create a new account. If you put your actual birthdate you will need a

parent account to manage the child account.

You can easily change the date of birth under the profile info yet keep in mind you can't change a kid's account into an adult's account.

Well I spoke too soon!!!

Having sorted all that out I have tried to set my kids up on Xbox live and now I can't because my region doesn't match my kids' regions. Having read a little I discovered that this is because Microsoft automatically assumed that my .com account from Gmail
is American whereas my kids' .co.uk accounts from Yahoo are based in the UK.

I have followed the link on here and tried to change my region but it is telling me that I can't!!!

Do Microsoft actually build stupidity into their systems on purpose?

if your Kid has a kids account, then the crossplay is disabled.

You can't enable it since you kid getting "older"... as far as I know from my kids

well, let's assume the basic idea would be adjusted and modifed to account for problems like that. Perhaps there's a "can't dig within distance of "owned" blocks.

But the core concept is, if I build it, you can't come in and wreck it or bypass it. Which is a problem Adventure mode apparently can have (they totally disable digging in that mode). I'm thinking that there's a way to get the effect, without changing
modes.

Just like I can build underground or light up my land and such to prevent hostile mobs from spawning and get the effect of Passive mode, without actually changing to that mode.

All within the spirit of the game by virture of behavior, rather than abrupt mode changes.
