My Account is marked as a child's

a while back I had problems with my email security being breached and the a while ago my account started to have all these restrictions and I found out some one changed me to a child's account and now there's a parent account and I need help to remove it
it's not mine and I have no association with it to my knowledge

How do I change my child's gamertag?

No option in my account to change my child's gamertag. Do I need to do this as my child's account? And when it asks to add a credit card to my child's account to change the gamertag, can I remove the credit card? Thanks.

My account is marked as a child in the same family as it's marked as an adult

Hi there,

if there are two xbox live accounts connected to the same email adderss (Microsoft Account) I advise to contact Xbox Support, so they can double check and help determine what steps are best to take.

YOu might have to move one of the accounts to a different email address (MS account) to sort the issue, but to be sure have Xbox Support make that decision.

Hi there!

Please make sure that the account that you are trying to make the purchase on is flagged as an adult account, if it is marked as a child account it could be causing this issue.

I am pretty sure my account isn't a child account, although I am not even sure where to check this. How do I get rid of that then?

Unfortunately there is no way to change a child account to an adult account as it goes by the original birthdate you put in while making the account.
