My account is flagged as a child. Chat bot isn't helping.

Went to play Mass Effect Andromeda today, only to discover that I couldn't use one of the online features in the game (the Apex Strike Teams). When I went to sign in to the app, it came up with a screen telling me that Account security was enabled on my account, and I needed to disable it on the Xbox.

Checking in that screen showed me that my account has been flagged as a "child account", so I won't have access to some online functionality. However, looking into other headings, it shows that I have all the privileges of an adult account. Given that my birth year starts with 19 (I'm not giving that last digits on purpose) I think I can safely say that I'm over 18.

The automated chat doesn't help, instead telling me that I need an adult to change this setting (I am an adult). I have no idea how that flag got set on my account, nor do I have the ability to remove it. I'd like to have a good fix, because this wasn't an issue before.

You need to check the age on your profile. https://account.microsoft.com/profile Sign in to Your info on the Microsoft account website, choose Edit your personal info, and select the right birthdate. When you’re done, select Save. this should fix the error.

I was able to get through to customer service chat after posting this. It is, apparently, related to a setting in the family group that we use for Office 365, which has my mother as an admin. I can't really update my birthdate and save it on the site linked because it hasn't changed/been changed. This issue should be resolved by tomorrow.

Hey ICONIC, It doesn't appear you are in the program, so what exactly do you need help with? If you were recently accepted then you will need to wait until they set up your profile and give you your forum icon. In the meantime, next time you need some help
