My account is deleted without any notifications on my e-mail.

Responded to one of the e-mails and specifying that this is not my account, and that I no longer wished to receive e-mails regard it, may have fixed this issue. Because the e-mail is my primary login, it seems to have erased all contact preferences without deleting the account, so now that I've logged back in, it seems to have automatically re-registered the e-mail address as my primary point of contact.

Cancel this..I logged in using my current hotmail.com e-mail address and xbox CREATED a new account without really confirming anything...I forgot i'm using an ancient e-mail for my xbox live stuff. Thanks and you can delete this!

No. Normally an account will be released shortly before or after notification as was the case in my situation and that I've read of others. Did you check all prior "alternative e-mails" associated with your original WLID? In my case, they ignorantly sent
the notification to the old alternative e-mail address that was no longer associated with my WLID/GT that actually was first account hackers compromised and STILL had access to. Stupidity at its finest.

I would like to change my login e-mail to use my GMail instead of my work e-mail. I get notifications at my GMail account right now as I had managed to set that up, but, I haven't been able to change the login e-mail.

I called MS support and after being on hold for about 45 minutes, they informed me that they couldn't find any record of my gmail account being used anywhere, but speculated that I may have started to fill out a profile at some point and never finished it.
Their solution was to just use a different e-mail. I'm not happy with that solution.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
