    Hi,

    I wonder if anyone could help me. For the past couple of days i've been unable to change my Microsoft Account password.

    When trying to reset my password it says "You've requested too many codes today. Please try again tomorrow."

    Well, it's been 24 hours and i'm still unable to change it.

    Somehow, I am able to access my account (so it lets me sign in without using a new password) but just will not allow me to change it. So my password information must be saved within the web browser somewhere.

    I used the Account sign in helper which is saying my account has been blocked. "We have detected that your account is blocked due to multiple incorrect password attempts"

    This whole issue began when trying to change my password on my iPhone Safari and it automatically set a "strong password" which I wasn't able to capture, the phone had frozen and ended up clicking off from it.

    Please help!! I'm really concerned about losing my Microsoft Account which has my Xbox gamertag and Xbox Gamepass associated with it.

    Yes I tried the account recovery form too. I get an email to my alternate address saying the info provided was correct and sufficent. "Your account is verified and now you just need to reset your password".

    So I reset the password and Im back to where I started, unable to login as the account (email address) is blocked.

    Frustrating doesnt even begin to describe this scenario!

    Yes, right now the only way to cancel a subscription is sign in with the account that owns it.

    I can advise you keep trying with the recovery form (and fill it with different info on the second try) until it gets accepted by Microsoft account recovery team

    In the meantime I think the best option would be freeze/block the card asking it to your financial institution, in that way your dad is not going to be charged next month and keep it in that way until you're able to recover the account

    I would recommend you attempt to reset the password for that Microsoft Account that is appearing when you attempt to sign into your account. You can do this by going to
    account.live.com/.../reset

    If you are unable to use the standard password reset methods, you can try filling out an account ownership questionnaire by choosing the link that says "I can't use any of these options."
