My account has been suspended for replying to a toxic message

This is my first post on here, but here's the story

I was playing Paladins in casual mode with other Xbox players, when my team lost the match, this random user on the enemy team called me a noob, So I replied back to the message saying Shut up b, then I blocked and muted his profile. this morning, I was
sent a enforcement action message saying that I was suspended from Xbox live for 24 hours, and that my communications has been affected from the ban. I've been suspended for replying back to a message from a user I don't even know irl.

Simply replying to the other user is not why you were suspended. If you respond in a way that violates the code of conduct, you can be suspended.

Support has nothing to do with enforcement, and it seems has no understing of how Enforcement functions.

If you haven't done so yet, block the other player and report any of his toxic messages.

If a user has been suspended, it is because of an infraction committed on that account. That is one of the reasons that users are discouraged from responding to toxic messaging. It's far better to RBI - Report the message, Block the user, and Ignore all
other messages from them.

a mocking reply would probably be reported (almost definitely if the other person is a troll/griefer) which could result in you getting suspended/banned.

if you receive toxic messages just report>block and move on, never reply
