Having been hacked and left feeling bereft of help by microsofts escalation team I'm left wondering is it worth sticking with xbox at all or jumping ship to Sony and playstation. I mean the first guy I spoke to from the support team agreed that I had been
hacked when he saw the hacker had not only changed my password but had hit a few random keys as his name when he checked the gamer account. I was even refunded the money for the two downloads the hacker had made with my credit card which thankfully I managed
to cancel with my bank as soon as I realised what was happening. the escalation team though decided not to give me back my account and so i'm missing out on 100s of pounds worth of games dlc and season passes, some of which I hadn't even go round to playing
yet. Sorry if this looks like a rant but it is extremely frustrating to me that you cannot contact the escalation team yourself to put your case to them and must rely solely on a member of the support team.

Parent email

So i had this parent account set up for my live and the email got hacked and as a result got deleted so because of the new terms of use i cannot put in the information for the parent account because it no longer exists. I need it removed or have another
set up so i can access my account.

Why would i validate my billing anyway? The reason they lock it down, is so that nothing can be bought with the account anymore. Also, a few hours before they locked my account, i was in my account going through my subscription, billing etc to see if whoever
hacked me changed something, which they didn't. Now i can no longer access my account through my 360, which is natural i guess, since they locked it down. I can access it through xbox.com, but again, why do i need to re-validate my billing?

I can understand your frustration. Unfortunately only official support would be able to continue to help you with this. As for your question about sticking with Xbox, that is up to you. As with any online service there are ways to protect yourself from such
attacks. For example, 2 step verification is a great way to protect your account. Along with using strong passwords and changing them often.

Sounds like you got hacked and just caught it before any points were spent etc.

Mine got hacked and migrated to Russia so my Dashboard is in russian etc. Currently locked out while they're investigating unauthorized access.

I bought this back in 2015. I paid for it on this account so it's not under a different account. I've got the order reference number as I spoke to an agent and made their job easier rather than searching through 4 years of purchases.

The game no longer shows up in My Games and Apps on the console, on the app, on this website and it no longer shows up in the Xbox Store. Funnily enough, the support agent has no idea what's going off either, they've clearly seen that I own the license to
the game and that I no longer can access it. So in theory I've paid £79.99 for a game that seems to have been completely wiped from all existence. Seems a bit fraudulent to me...

The thing is, I haven't received a reply whatsoever! I got one automated message declining my proof through the form and nothing sense! I've reached out about my Minecraft account, stating it would take up to 24 hours and it's been longer than that without any notice that my situation is being looked into. I am on an old laptop without much ability and need my Desktop for college but I can't access it because I'm locked out of it accidentally!
