You would have had to contact support when it happened. From what I've remembered, once it's been over a year they can no longer investigate it has a "hack" and recover it.

Mines about to turn to 10 years should be 11 but got hacked about 3 years ago and lost my account and a LOT of money luckily MS tracked traced and restored my account(took over a year and I got my money back) Ghost recon back in the day was a lot better
than it is nowadays and motogp ruled lol

I don't think silver has that much to do with it. I went inactive for about 3 years and it never effected my tenure that I know of. My tenure says 8 years which is about how long ago it was when I made this account.
