    I’m trying to buy v-bucks for my son. The Microsoft account is showing £18.00 but when he goes to purchase it gives the option of buying with Microsoft balance of £3.01 …. How can I sort this please?

    Don't worry, I'll explain it to you here, it's something simple, but I understand that at first when we are new to this we don't know some things, to follow the aforementioned steps you must press the Xbox button on your controller.

    If you are using the console, you need to make sure that the balance has been added, as this may be the reason why it is not letting you buy the vbucks. You can confirm this using: Select Profile & system > Settings > Account. Select Payment & Billing and scroll left to view your account balance.

    If a positive balance appears on your account, please log out of your account and log back in. You can also try restarting your console (Power Cycle) and try again.

    Does it show as a $10 balance on his Xbox account? Usually it's applied that way and then he can use that balance to purchase the V bucks.
