My acccount got hijacked

Sorry to hear about what happened. This is clearly not the situation I want you to be in. Just to set your expectation, due to our account safety and security, only us the account owners have the ability to recover our accounts and verify their ownership. Even a Microsoft Support cannot recover our accounts on our behalf because they're protected by the security information we have setup on our accounts which we only have access to.

Since your email address was replaced already, you cannot use your own email address to recover your account. You must know the current email address of your account which is the hacker’s email address to start the account recovery process. Without it, you cannot start the recovery process because it's the primary key of your account.

I suggest that you check your mailboxes (inbox, spam/junk, and trash folders) to find traces of the new email address that's currently linked to your original account. If the account was added to an Xbox console, it would be best to check it from there too.

In this situation, you can contact Microsoft support directly. They have a dedicated team that can assist you with account recovery. Then fill out the account recovery form as accurately as possible and provide any additional information that you have.

If you have any evidence or information that may prove ownership of the account, such as screenshots of previous emails or billing statements, make sure to include it in the form. Microsoft will review your submission and get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi, I’m not sure when I migrated my account or if I got an email. All I now is that I sign in with my microsoft acccount because of xbox live. I’m using this on xbox.
