My 5 Year Olds Xbox Account is Suspended for Fraud and it as locked my linked account

I'm stumped here, posted on Reddit and ResetERA and tried xboxsupport but while I'm waiting for the appeal detail I'll post here for any advice if you can support.

've been on live since day dot of the beta and this is the first time anything like this has happened, I always prided myself on being a 'good sport' online and never had anything close to a ban.

I was popping to bed last night as saw a message to my gamertag on the xbox app that some enforcement action was taking place.

I wondered what on earth is could be and logged into enforcement.xbox.com.

It says its for my littlest kids account (who is 5 and now has a xbox in her bedroom after I got the X but it has been on once for Netflix or Youtube months ago) for Marketplace theft and the loss of live privileges for a week.

There are no payment options on the account and its setup as a child account.

I've hit the appeal button but that seems like all I could do.

Xbox support is normally fantastic but they don't deal with these issues or anything I need to look out for?

Its so weird, but I logged on today and I'm now also blocked from playing online as this child account is linked to mine.

Looks like I can see friends online, play my game library solo but nothing online at all, I tried with Fortnite and PUBG.

II'm stumped with this one and I have no idea what or how, i've checked her purchase history on the account and there is nothing. Her Xbox has Minecraft, Roblox, Netflix, Amazon and YouTube on it.

We are a 4 xbox house hold now, I wonder if that is it as her account is on her brothers [8 years old & no purchases there] (the old main one in his room) and hers in her bedroom. We have a mediacenter one in the bedroom and the new X downstairs.

Her account hasn't been switched in for weeks and weeks, as has her brothers as he's been going Roblox mad on his Christmas laptop.

I'll update with the appeal detail but anyone had this happen to them? Anything I need to do or look for?

Its just really concerning, its her little account and should be safe and secure.

My account was suspended

My xbox account is suspended untill 5/4/2012 witch is today i cant check my aim account i dont remember my password i made one for yahoo but cant change it i tried to switch emails. My account was supposed to be off suspention but its not. Xbox sent a email to me old email at aim.com but i dont use that email i use yahoo i still dont know the reason for being suspended

Any idea's?

Chinese Company Hacking Xbox Live Accounts

Microsoft’s in-house fraud investigators began looking at the site in December, making a number of purchases on iGSKY to build the case. In one case described by senior investigator Jeremy Beckley, Microsoft’s fraud team purchased 11,000 FIFA points on iGSKY.com, paying $60. Immediately afterward, Xbox Live received an email and password change for an eight-year-old account, which then proceeded to purchase 11,000 FIFA points for $127.54. It’s unclear how the group gained access to the account, although there was no indication of a broader breach of Xbox services.

iGSKY delivered the credentials to Microsoft’s investigations team in an email, along with instructions to spend the points as soon as possible. Shortly after that, the original owner of the account contacted Xbox customer support, complaining that he had been locked out of his account and unauthorized purchases had been made.

Based on that evidence, Microsoft has brought charges of fraud, CFAA violations, and racketeering conspiracy under RICO, naming alleged parent company Gameest and alleged proprietor Weiwei Chu. Still, Microsoft acknowledges it knows little about how iGSKY is operated, and hopes to turn up more detail in discovery.Click to expand...

Nothing anyone here can tell you i'm afraid as the enforcement team do not use the forums.

Filing for a case review is the only way to contact them & as you have already done that you will just have to wait for the decision to be made after another investigation.

I checked the region in my xbox account and seems to be ok, it's set to U.S. on mine but also on a pc and not a console. I've tried checking for the region setting in my account on microsoft billing but can't find it. That's why my account was suspended,
i haven't been on my account in over a year and shortly after getting back on it, i purchased 12k points, bought and downloaded content...3 days later, account was suspended due to suspected fraud and marketplace theft, and was giving back account after sending
in download history and purchase statements.

While your account is under investigation, the codes cannot be redeemed on that account. You could start a new account and redeem it on that. Once your account is locked & suspended for potential fraud, there is no way to get around anything until it's unlocked
and unsuspended.

ubisoft actually moved all my stuff from one of my old accounts to my new one ages ago via a support ticket, took about a week to sort.

you will find a lot of the companies are like this now

activision accounts can be unlinked once per year, but if you unlink and link to a different activision account then all microtransactions and saves and the lot are gone unless you relink back to the original activision account, but you then have to wait 12 months, more companies are doing it this way, even epic have now made it so you cannot change the link.

most of these games store your in game purchases, saves, online leaderboards etc on their own servers via your account and to stop fraud or getting round bans they lock in account linking.
