    My 360 will turn but will not boot up


    Yesterday I went to play my xbox 360 but there was something wrong with my system. When hitting the power button, the green light turned on but my controller would not connect. I also noticed that the fans did not kick on and there was no video display.
    I have tried everything I could think of but I don't know much about how to fix this kind of stuff. If anyone could help me that would be great!

    I turn on my xbox 360 and it turns on with green light but does not boot up. I tried plugging in pluging out the cables but it didnt work. Help me out please.

    Update has broken my xbox.

    As a heads up, my 360 is a launch version and like you, all I have ever done over the years is upgrade the hard drive. I didn't have any problems with the update though. Try taking the hard drive off and starting the 360 to see if it boots up. If it does
    boot up, turn off the 360, reattach the hard drive and see if it again will boot up. If it doesn't boot, it's safe to say the issue is somewhere with the hard drive.

    Console HDMI not working

    I don't think you can record HDMI. It's a secure protocol. I think the 360 requires a secure signal when using HDMI, or it will not boot up. I know that when I turn my 360 on, and the HDTV if off, the 360 "waits" for the HDTV to turn on.

    Can you please power down the Xbox 360 console remove the power cables from the console and the wall outlet for two minutes to allow the console to fully reset. After this connect everything back on and attempt to power up the console. If the console still
    does not fully power on please disconnect any accessories and hard drives connected to the console then try power up the console again.

    Can you also try following the support guide below.

    Also my power brick is fine and nothing is wrong with it
    you know that nothing is wrong with my Xbox 360 power. The problem is it doesn't boot up
