My 2tb storage device works, but the light doesnt show up, neither do the games

Ok, so, my 2tb seagate hard drive works, but the light and the games dont show up, I've tried everything but a new cord, and none of it works, it also appears to be making a buzz sound every few secs, I need help.

Hi, have you tried plugging it into a computer and see if it shows up?

If you have a PC handy you can check the eternal Seagate game drive via the downloadable Seatools provided by Seagate to test the drive. From your description it sounds very much like the drive has developed a problem and needs to be exchanged (possibly
still under warranty)

Is this drive disks or SSD, if it is SSD it should not be making noise. Also the USB cords can be an issue, the connectors can get damaged so try another working cord.

Check if it works in a different usb port on the xbox. If it works in different usb port on same xbox then the usb port it was previously plugged into is the problem. If it doesn't work in different port then external hard drive has either went bad or
has been reformatted for something else. It's also possible that you accidentally changed the storage for your game clips to the external hard drive which would have reformatted it and you wouldn't be able to download games onto it anymore. I'm not exactly
sure why you can't save games clips and games on the same external drive but you can only choose one or the other
