    My 2nd xbox elite series 2 controller is having severe bumper issues.


    Has anyone else had issues with their elite series 2 bumpers? The controller was working just fine yesterday then I plug it in today (I always put it back in it's case and zip it up when I'm done playing, then I'll put it in my drawer so it doesn't get damaged or dusty) and my left bumper is very unresponsive and my right bumper double and sometimes even triple clicks.

    I've had 2 elite series 2 controllers and they both had this issue. Is there anyway to fix this without breaching the warranty? The place I got it from makes you send it off to this TERRIBLE repair company that doesn't even fix the issue and takes 2 weeks to get it back to you. Any help is greatly appreciated My 2nd xbox elite series 2 controller is having severe bumper issues. :)

    I     tried to fill out repair order, but, as mentioned above, those are the only options i got.

    Bumper IS a known issue, as you can see.

    Btw., it doenst matter what caused 2 years warranty, it is in place and i'm in the right to use it.

    Is this a way to get around the 99 dollar fee to fix it? It is crazy to think that Microsoft would charge for there repairs. I have had 3 original elite controllers fail (2 of which were covered by a warranty with the seller) and my new elite series 2
    controller has been having the same issue for several months. It is insane that the issue was so prevalent with the first series and was still a problem with the 2nd. Microsoft is aware of the issue and is charging people to fix it. This is nothing but a scam
    to make more money off of people who buy their product's!

    The bumpers on my launch day Series 1 Elite Controller finally broke a few months ago. Was disappointed that an otherwise perfectly functioning controller (never had the grip issue with mine) was rendered useless because of the poor design of the bumpers.
    All the development that went into the Elite and no effort was made to improve this inherent weakness in all Xbox One controllers. I repaired it myself with a replacement bumper from ebay. Never had bumper issues with any of my 360 controllers.

    I have exactly the same issue with the new Series 2 controllers. I ordered the Electronic Volt version, but had to refund it because of the mentioned problem. Then I ordered the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, thinking a 150€ controller sure can't have these problems, but I was wrong.

    So here I am, stuck my old Elite Series 1 controller that still works after several years, but starts to show wear, and I can't upgrade to Series 2 without winning the series-2-build-quality-lottery.

    Sometimes the Bumper didnt react if i push them.. I havt to push them very hard until they react :/.
