MW2 will not play

The Xbox series X will not read the MW2 disc, I have returned it and tried 3 separate copies of the MW2 disc, the console will play other games/discs and read dvds/blue rays as well. But will not read any MW2 disc I insert into the console. The disc will read on my Xbox one. I installed it there and network transferred all the data to the series X and upgraded all the data that was transferred but the console refuses to read the MW2 disc.

It sounds like there may be an issue with the game's license. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:



1. Make sure that your console is connected to the internet and that you are signed in to your Xbox Live account.

2. Check to see if there are any updates available for the game. If there are, install them and try launching the game again.

3. Try clearing your console's cache. To do this, press and hold the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds. Once the console has turned off, unplug the power cord from the back of the console and wait for 10 seconds. Then, plug the power cord back in and turn the console on.



Additionally, we have found an official article from the game developer support team that provide the instruction on how to install the disc game. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II requires a Day One update in order to play the game. After the installation is complete, launch the game to prompt the update.

What's wrong with how MW2 looks? Looking like MW2 isn't necessarily a bad thing. Playing like MW2... now that would be a problem imo.

CoD4 had good maps, MW2 made the game rubbish, if MW2 had CoD4's maps then I'd still be playing MW2 now
