MW2 not producing any sound???

I'm sorry to hear that. Kindly try to refresh your operating system and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.​​​​​​​

Note: Make sure that you know your account logins before doing this step. Also, this will remove all your Home Xbox associations.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info > Reset console.

3. On the Reset your console? screen, you'll select Reset and keep my games & apps.

Did all this still have no sound through speakers when playing only this Game NW2 ??? This sucks big

There could be several reasons why Modern Warfare 2 is not making any sound on your Xbox. Here are some possible solutions you can try:

Ill explain why I think it feels like a Treyarch game. I wont argue quality of gameplay, because thats a personal opinion, and pretty much useless to argue about. If you preferred Blops to MW2, thats fine. I think both Blops and MW2 did some things better
than the other. However, I strongly feel that every IW produced CoD had better attention to detail. Gun sounds and audio have always been superior. One example is a silenced P90. In MW and MW2, it had a unique sound. In MW3, it has the generic silenced
sub machine gun sound. Through Turtle Beach and Tritton headphones, MW2 sounded awesome and dynamic. Blops and MW3 sound dull and flat, almost muffled. The gun sounds in MW3 are awful. The sniper rifles sound like toys vs. the heavy ballistic delivery
devices they are. That lack of detail attention is what bothers me. Many guns in Blops had the same sounds once you put a silencer on them. Its this kind of detail that I want attention paid to. IW produced Cod's graphics have always been sharper and more
vibrant. Even the difference between MW and MW2 was huge. I personally prefer the MW/MW2 graphics over the WaW and Blops graphics. This could be a personal thing, but compare MW2's texture's to MW3's textures and MW3 falls short. The ground textures in
MW3 look awful, almost like the textures havent loaded yet, but they never do. Its lack of details like this that bother me.
