MW2 light orb bug no fixes!

For a company that has made Billions of dollars from us, the customers, you think they would spend a fraction of that to fix this bug. NONE of the "fixes" I found work. I tried MS "fix":

Please follow the steps below and see if it helps.

Step 1 (did this twice)

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply. (I did this twice, and waited at least 30 seconds with the power cable unplugged)

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

Step 2

If it still doesn't work, kindly try to refresh your operating system and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

Note: Make sure that you know your account logins before doing this step. Also, this will remove all your Home Xbox associations.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide. (I did this twice, still zilch!)

2. Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info > Reset console.

3. On the Reset your console? screen, you'll select Reset and keep my games & apps.

Thanks for leaving your customers with an unplayable bug Activision!

I tried to follow the above instructions. But then I get to "Select Settings > System > Storage", under System I see "Storage Devices" and under that I see:

Change installation locations

Clear local saved games (which doesn't sound like it will clear the cloud to me?)

Clear local Xbox 360 storage

??

If it makes any difference, it's an Xbox One series (and I checked that it's the updated version).

I'm not finding the choice to select the storage location (the Xbox itself has only the internal storage, which I believe is either 500GB or 1TB (I'm not sure, my son bought it and gave it to me).

Am I missing an optional choice?

I saw that I had to go to the game and do this. But when I went to MW 2 it needed an update. But it stayed at 0.0% for several minutes. So I paused the update. Now MW 2 doesn't show up under my games (I bought the DVD). And I shutdown and restarted the console. But it's still missing. And I looked under "Updates" and it only showed 3 things like avatar original, avatar editor, and rewards?

Did I accidentally delete it when I paused the update?

I am not as used to the Xbox as the desktop. How do I do that? And if I do that, will I lose the fact I completed the campagna and will need to complete it again?

It didn't delete, it could be a bug, try to reinstall it again.

Initially yes you will choose the local storage to find the specific save.

Once you find the specific save data locally on the console then press the START/PAUSE button and select "delete everywhere".

This should remove both files from either location, allowing you to start a fresh uncorrupted file.

Sure, not a problem.

Yes if the save data is indeed corrupt, which it sounds like is the case, by deleting the data your campaign progress will be deleted.

However, the unlocks for online multiplayer that you got from completing the campaign will still be there.

Here is how to delete corrupted save data from the xbox console.

To determine if the saved game is corrupted, follow these steps:
Select Settings > System > Storage.
Select the storage location, and then press the A  button.
Select Games and Apps, and then press the A  button.
Select the game, and then press the A  button.
Select the saved game, and then press the A  button.
Note A corrupted saved game file is marked with a yellow exclamation point.
If the saved game file is corrupted, delete the corrupted file. To do this, select Delete.
