MW2 2022 won’t let me launch game

We need to isolate the issue further. To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

According to Xbox support: "This may mean that the game or app is still installing, or that the installation was incomplete." For your reference, you can check this link:

If I may ask, do you have an external hard drive plugged into your console? If yes, kindly unplug the external hard drive and then perform a powercycle before reinstalling the game. KEEP THE HARD DRIVE UNPLUGGED.

I think I must have faced the same issue over here too my mw2 game won’t let me play online multiplayer and it’s prompting to buy Xbox live gold or game pass ultimate too

I would like to clarify, will you be playing the game online multiplayer, or single-player campaign?

If you will be playing the game online, please make sure that you have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, and then select System > Settings > Account > Subscriptions.

If you will be playing the game's single-player campaign, kindly manage your settings before re-launching the game.

Settings > General > Network Settings > Go Offline.

Re-launch the game.
