    Hey thx but that a bummer that they don't do that but thank u and I thought on steam playing multiplayer was free but oh and but in the future I'm hoping the best so that way xbox wouldn't be that down atleast

    Most gaming platforms, with the exemption of PC, require a subscription to be able to play online. This is mostly to keep online services running and in good shape.

    To answer your second question, I'm afraid there is currently no official information on when, or if, it will ever be possible to play online games without an active Xbox Live Gold subscription. At this moment, only Free-to-Play games can be played without a subscription.

    Warzone is it's own separate thing, In order to play the MW campaign you will need to own the full Modern Warfare game and need Xbox live Gold to play online
