    how can I get my sound system to mute ads when there's no speaker icon in the ad screen? Lately there are no choices to mute ads and even though I've turned the volume down on my speakers the ads are very loud.

    I have no issues with having to watch the ads but I should be able to control the speakers and volume...

    Thanks for your response! I’m actually playing on my computer. In settings I turned the volume for apps down but am still getting sound break through despite this. On the actual game app I turned off sound but still am getting sound coming through.

    Hello, I've read your question, I believe I understand your position. The Xbox Ambassadors are here to help.

    I have the AVL setting adjusted on my TV, that is to say Auto volume leveling, but I would love to do what you are speaking of. As of now, I have not found a way to mute the ads, I simply use my television remote for volume control when AVL settings dont
    work. For the dynamic bursts of sound, I suggest trying the AVL mode in your televisions audio settings.

    If you mean the previews of games in the store and sponsored dashboard ads, I agree they are way too loud. There should be a volume setting for that. Actually maybe there should be a overall dashboard volume setting.

    muted ads may un-mute at the end, and the sound continues playing after the ad is dismissed, until the program is exited.
