    Music transfer to the Xbox One hard drive


    Since my Xbox One is now backward compatible, is there anyway that I can Transfer all of my music cd's into Xbox One hard drive using the app, Groove?

    because I saw on youtube that you can rip the music cd on your computer and than rip it onto the hard drive of the Xbox 360, but, I don't know, if it's the same way for Xbox One, the young man said that it only for Xbox 360, it was publist aug

    can we use the xbox 360 data transfer cable to transfer music from a slim hard drive for the xbox to a computer?

    Sorry but that feature is not yet available for the Xbox One. However you can always suggest it on the feedback site.

    In the meantime you are able to put music on an external USB drive and play it on the One via that method.

    USB Transference

    If I'm reading this correctly, you can't transfer music from a USB drive to your consoles hard drive. The only way to get music onto the hard drive is to rip it from a CD.

    unfortunately no the june update is for external hard drive support for the storing of games only (once the hard drive is formatted by the xbox one when it is first plugged in only games can be transferred to the external drive) so no music and video can
    be placed on the drive, but Microsoft have stated that usb drives will be in a future update for video and music play back they just haven't given us a timeframe yet.

    I'm afraid that you can't do that. Movies can't be transferred to the Xbox hard drive, and the only way to put music on your xbox is to rip the music from cd's straight to the xbox.

    For some reason none of that worked. I see the external harddrive listed under storage, but it will not let me transfer video games under the drive. Only music and pictures it says. It is a 3.0usb hard drive for the xbox one.
