Multiple Xbox One wireless controller's headphone jack stopped working

Hello,

I have seen this question posted on many threads, but it won't answer my question. This happened on 2 controllers, along with many other people that have the same prob;em. The headphone jack worked for about a week, then stopped working. I have
tried new headsets on the controller which still don't work. I bought a wired controller, and it's headphone jack works fine with these headsets. I thought that this was my fault, but after reading through many threads of people with the same issue, I think
that the controllers are faulty. My controllers are no longer under warranty, but I think Microsoft should replace the controller at no cost. Just to be clear, I have tried everything, and it is NOT the headsets, it is the controllers
being faulty. I also would like to say that I will not buy a $20 adapter because they controller is faulty.

I had this same problem and i knw not much of a solution but when it comes to electronic devices that go threw heavy use always always spend the extra for the 2 year warranty controllers nowadays dnt usually reach anywhere near 2 yrs

Sorry the jack went out within a week. You should've returned it back to store you got it from or got it replaced at a Microsoft Store via the warranty. Since it is expired, it will be a fee to get it service by Microsoft.

If the jack is only the problem then I do think buying the adapter is an solution then buying a new controller. I know you dont want to shell up more money but its a good investment.

The 3.5mm headphone jack on Xbox One/Series X|S controllers (including Elite controllers) does not work when connected via Bluetooth. It will only work via USB or the official Xbox wireless adaptor.

It could be that the headphone jack on the controller stopped working. In that case no, you can't fix it.

The Xbox One console, does not support Bluetooth, hence why the headsets do not work on their consoles. You either use a wireless headset, this uses the Xbox wireless technology to connect to the Xbox or connect a wired headset to the 3.5mm headphone jack
that is in the bottom of the controller.
