    Multiple prompts will result in username unavailability on xbox live (xbox 360)


    I have an xbox live account that was created under the south African region( xbox live is not available in my country but was able to redeem codes until I changed my location to Turkey).

    I tried to create another xbox live account , on the first popup where xbox asks to prompt a username that will thereafter be used by the system, xbox rejects every username prompts, displaying, ''username not available for xbox live, try again.''

    Please do not confuse username with the gamertag as I'm in the very early stages of signing in, and am unable to continue to input my Microsoft email and password. Thus I am unable to use Microsoft auto generated gamertags.

    What is the likely cause of this? Is it because Microsoft is not accepting my IP queries as I am in an unsupported country?

    Xbox 360 Preview Update Failed

    I'm also getting these issues. I've tried: clearing cache, re-downloading the system update multiple ways, and unplugging my modem/router and AC adapter. Seems to be in correlation with the Xbox 360 Preview Program. It occurred last night while I was watching
    Netflix, got disconnected randomly while prompt to install the newer system update version. After the installation was complete I was unable to connect to Xbox live "Update Failed, A system update is required to sign in to Xbox Live, but the update is currently
    unavailable".

    Were you even signed in to begin with? Normally a 360 game signs you in at the start. You see that prompt coming up on your screen.

    "<USERNAME> signed into Xbox Live"
