multiple problems then nothing

okay so i picked up my cables to hook up my virgin media box in the next room

in order of whats happened

• i picked up the picture but couldnt control the channels
• lost the picture screen went blue just audio
• now my xbox is completely refusing to detect my hdmi cables
  
  any ideas if others have had this problem

Multiple Problems

Take the console back to where you bought it, get a refund, and wait until Microsoft releases an updated XBOne, with decent software and reliable hardware components.

That, or get a PS4. They have a lot less hardware and software issues. The main one being seemingly capped internet speeds on that console and maybe some PSN issues here and there.

I just got a One, like 15 hours ago. I've spent more time hard resetting it because of freezes than actually playing games, or doing much of anything else.

Consoles should focus on what they do best - playing games, but Microsoft is focusing too much on making their console work like a PC that they are completely ruining the experience for the one thing this thing should do decently well.

I don't think anyone should be buying these until they fix the issues it has, which are quite extensive at this point.

 

Multiple Problems

I am always connected to live. That's another problem then. Nothing has synced to the cloud. Next step will be a factory reset.

Earlier today while playing FIFA the system reset itself and that erased a majority of my saved items and deleted 3 games from the HDD including FIFA. Not sure what's exactly happening. System is up do date.

Seems like it's a dud system. I will do a factory reset and go from there.
