Multiple official Minecraft apps

They are not all java edition. The top one is the bedrock edition. It's just called Minecraft, and the same version is on other platforms too. Then you have the launcher, which you can use to launch any of the Minecraft games, including Legends and Dungeons. The bottom one is java edition.

If you only want to run the java edition, then the java edition is the one you want to install.

Please try to search for Minecraft on your PC and launch directly the Minecraft app rather than on the Minecraft launcher. Multiple reports from other Minecraft gamers have indicated that they are experiencing the same issue and error.

However, there is still no official announcement from Mojang Support if there is an ongoing issue.

There are multiple contacts in regards to the said issue, Alt however there are no official announcement from Mojang. In this case, it would be best to report this to them in that way they will be aware and deploy a fix as soon as possible.
