    Multiple issues with the Xbox button


    When I booted up my console today, pressing the Xbox button on my controller it wouldn’t bring up the menu bar. Instead it only greyed out the screen and got stuck. I had to turn off my console via the console button and that took a while.

    Then when I booted my console back up it seems to work again for the menu bar, however if I hold the Xbox button I don’t get the power/restart options.

    And on top of that my ‘report an issue’ app on the Xbox will not boot up. It just gets stuck on the logo and loads forever so I’m unable to report these issues on the Xbox right now.

    Will hard reset the Xbox to hopefully sort this and hopefully it will work.

    Thank you for this; the issue is that the pair button on the Series X does not work most of the time. It just does not start the pairing process; I have multiple older Xboxs including the Xbox One X and the Xbox One Elite and neither had an issue pairing
    the Elite 2.

    I actually have seen multiple reports having an issue with their subscription that is not being detected on the app.

    There's no known issues yet being posted from the Xbox Status here https://support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status

    I suggest to use the "Report" button on that page to report possible outage for the Xbox team to investigate the issue.

    Official MS Xbox products can be detected by the console.

    As for repairing your console yourself, that's a direct violation of the ToU, and could result in a console ban.

    Hello,

    If you've already gone through the standard troubleshooting steps on the Microsoft support site in regards to the
    E71 error and the E79 error then your only option is to get the console repaired. We are not able to help with 3rd party repair tips or tell you what to
    get replaced. Any talk of 3rd party repairs or local shop fixes are not to be discussed on this forum. Getting parts swapped out by a 3rd party will result in the console being unable to connect to LIVE eventually through present or future firmware updates
    so this console would pretty much be useless right when you open it to replace anything.

    here, other than that, no one on this forum will be able to assist you with this particular matter.
