Multiple email addresses on account help

Hi all

I'm a parent of an avid Xboxer and he's used my Microsoft account for years now (as when he started he was only 7 so I wanted to oversee).

And of course now we're at the stage that he's gained so many XP points / rewards etc, he has to stay on my account - unless this can be moved to a new one? I don't play xbox really these days so the account is almost exclusively his but it is good to still
have that oversight when he's buying V Bucks and the like :s

However, now he's older I'm constantly getting emails such as "insert ridiculous user name here has joined Mixer" or "Random guy I've never heard of is now live".

Obv this is irrelevant to me but I'm thinking rather than just unsubscibe from everything, my son would most likely want to see these notifications.

So, is there a way to add his email address to my Microsoft account and set a setting so he gets these notifications but I still get the billing ones etc.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are inquiring about how to configure your account to have your son take over your account but still receive notifications regarding purchases and such.

You can configure your son's personal email to be the primary alias so that he can now sign in to your account using his email, as well as receive most notifications there, however, you will most likely still receive email to your email if it belongs to
a Microsoft Domain [Outlook, Hotmail, MSN, etc]. Also, keep in mind that if you do have an email with a Microsoft Domain, and you remove it, that email will be lost forever.

You should, however, be able to prevent notifications of these email or even send the email directly towards your Junk section from inside the email itself.

OK great, I can add my son's email as an alias, and we'd both receive all xbox updates, subscription notifications, game notification etc.

This would work providing I can then unsubscribe to irrelevant emails to me, yet would he continue to receive them OR by me unsubscribing does it effectively unsubscribe all aliases associated with the account?

Each account has to have a unique email address. There is no way to have multiple accounts connected to the same email.
