Multiplayer with PC & Xbox in the same household

    Hello,

I own a gaming PC and an Xbox. They use my same windows account.

Today I bought Sea of Thieves, and I'm excited about the crossplay so that I can play with my kid. One of us on the xbox, the other on the PC. I am told this works fine, but what about the licensing?

Do I need a 2nd license? If so, how can I own two licenses in the same account? How set this up?

    thanks!!

    :)

Can you share Microsoft Rewards like you share Xbox Live

    Hello ,

Currently Xbox Live is shared between two Xbox One's in the same household. Myself and my three teenage boys. With change to Microsoft Rewards, will the household still be able to share services?

Hi - Thanks for your reply. I am still learning all this so can you clarify:

    - do I still need 2 licenses? one for my account and one for my kid?

    - my kid's account is just a profile connected to my account (if I 'm understanding properly). do we need to create a whole new microsoft live account for him for this purpose?

    thanks!

No. By setting your console as your Home console your kid has access to any games on your account as well as a gold subscription if you have one. You would be sharing the license. No need for a 2nd one.

If he has his own gamertag, then he has his own account and you wouldn't need to do anything else.. If he doesn't, then yes, you should create an account for him.

You would just need to make sure your console is set as your Home console so your kid can access the game from his account. This will only work from the console. You would be able to play it on the PC. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/game-setup/my-home-xbox

Excellent news! That's why I started off by asking if you were sure you weren't signed in on both devices with the same account🧐, had a feeling it had to be that! Anyway, glad the problem is sorted and you can get back to gaming with your loved ones!
