Multiplayer systemlink Red dead redemption on xbox360

Hi , i recently got 2 Xbox 360 , and im trying to play Red dead redemption multiplayer with my son. im new to xbox 360 so im trying to understand how this xbox world is working.

i got my xbox live profile (free) , where i bougth the game . then i download it on my first xbox (lets call it xbox1 ) and it works fine, and i can play it with out bieng connected to xbox live.

then i setup the second xbox360 (lets call it xbox2 ) wit the same account info , and downloaded the game to xbox2.

but the game will only let me play when im connected to xbox live , with the account i t bought the game with?

then im trying to connect the games through syystem link. and i see different ways to do it on google.

firtst solution was to set the ip and the connection settings ,so it was the same on both xbox, tried it and it didnt work.

second solution was to connect both xbox through one wire. tried it and didnt worn cause yhe game need internet to run.

of cause i tried to connect both xbox to system link with different ip's and they are both starting up the world. but the are not togheter in the sama world.

anybody out there , please explain to me what i need to do to connect this right .. the xboxs.

and do i have to be signed in to xbox live wiith to different accounts to play multyplayer with my son ?

i dont get it . please help thanks

I tried to buy the game on PC. But also failed.

Fix the xbox360 billing site.

Thanks for your post. In order to play the game at the same time with your son, you will have to create a seconds account for him to play on, then allow him to sign into the xbox1 and yourself on xbox2. This is because when an Xbox 360 game is purchased
on a console, the first console it is downloaded will receive what's called a console license, and any other console you attempt to play it on will require that you're signed in on the account it was purchased on. A console license allow for other profiles
to access the game without being signed into the original profile it was purchased on.

To use system link be sure to use what's called a "cross over ethernet cable" this special type of ethernet cable allows for connection and communication of similar devices view this for more info:

I have essentially the same question except that I already knew about having separate accounts and each console has its own copy of the game.

The problem is that on Red Dead Redemption you have to be logged into Xbox live to access multiplayer. The moment you plug in any type of ethernet cable it logs you out of Xbox Live (if your connection to the internet is through wireless which ours is).
Thus plugging in the crossover cable prevents being able to connect to xbox live.

If you are not logged into Xbox live you can't access multiplayer to play with system link, and you can't create the physical requirements for system link multiplayer (wired ethernet connection between the two consoles) without being logged out of Xbox
live.

So how are we supposed to plug in a crossover ethernet cable and still stay connected to xbox live?

How do you play Red Dead Redemption by system link if you cannot start or stay in multiplayer while the system link wiring is active? It is impossible as far as I can tell to have any type of ethernet cable plugged in and still use the wireless network
for xbox live, the system just won't allow you to do it. This precludes the ability to use a crossover cable.
