    multiplayer locking after switching a Minecraft account to Microsoft?


    I have changed my account to a Microsoft account and now I cannot play multiplayer or realms. I have uninstalled Minecraft and now it is still not working. If you have any suggestions please help because I rely enjoy playing and can't.

    Make sure that under Privacy, Xbox One/ Windows 10 online safety, everything is set as ALLOW and EVERYONE.

    I understand that you are experiencing issues joining in Minecraft game.

    I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

    Please make sure that you two are using Minecraft Bedrock Edition because cross-platform play is only supported on Minecraft Bedrock Edition. If either of you is using a different version (e.g., Java Edition), you won't be able to play together.

    And then check Microsoft account linking. Both of you need to be signed into your Microsoft accounts on your respective devices. On the Switch, make sure your girlfriend has linked her Microsoft account correctly. She can do this by signing in at https://aka.ms/remoteconnect.

    Next is to verify multiplayer settings. To do this on Xbox, go to your account settings and ensure that multiplayer and cross-platform play are enabled. Same with Switch, check the settings on the Switch to ensure multiplayer is allowed.

    Make sure that both devices have a stable internet connection. Cross-platform play requires a reliable connection.

    And if direct joining isn't working, consider creating a Realm. Realms allow players from different platforms to join a shared world. You can set up a Realm from the Minecraft menu.

    Then restart both the Xbox and the Switch after making these changes.
