Multiplayer? Is it really that good though?

As others have said, it's really about who you're communicating with.

Different games tend to offer different experiences, and it's also about building up a team of people who you can get on with. I largely chat with real-life friends, but I've also ended up meeting friends-of-friends and gaming with them, and become good mates
with some random team-mates in some titles (e.g. Overwatch).

If you're just starting to use voice chat in game, it might take a little while to get used to listening whilst also getting stuff done. I'm experiencing the same thing trying to stream games and also commentate, even in titles I know well, simply because it's
a new combination of things going on at the same time...

I love gaming and gaming wouldn't be fun if it wasn't for multiplayer

in matchmaking, yeah it is just a rabble. I think you need to gather a group of like minded people to have a real team chat that isn't chaos

I have noticed a shift, back in the beginning of xbox live people tended to be on mic more and there was less hate, maybe that was just the Halo 2 community, but I did really feel like overall there was a good energy and competitive spirit behind all trash
talk. I did not often feel like anyone was being mean spirited or uncalled for.

With the rise of gaming, I have noticed different communities emerge. Mostly I do not go on public online game chat and tend to stick to party chats with friends. Mainly because of having many undesirable experiences with online chat, and sometimes lack
of anyone talking as well.

Yea man Its been really hard to enjoy games with these types of toxic people, but then again we can just mute them and enjoy our gaming experience
