Mulitiple Users on one Xbox

I've spent several days looking for the answer to this question so I'm hoping someone here can help. Our Playstation and my wife had a fight several years ago and this time around we decided to try Xbox. We have young children 14,12, 9 and 7 year old twins. None of our kids have phones, or tablets or any other devices so they don't already have email or other accounts. On our Playstation we had a main account then each of the kids, my wife and myself had a profile. Simple. My wife could beat Red Dead Redemption 2 times over and I could play on my own profile GTA style without messing up her progress. We can't seem to figure out how to set that up on the Xbox. We're not into online playing with other people or online purchasing and setting up 7 new email accounts AND 7 new Xbox accounts seems ridiculous but we're thinking that might be the only way. Please help, my wife is ready to return the Xbox before we've had a chance to get give it a try.

If you got the Xbox One or Series S/X, then in order for each person to have their own progress they would each need their own account which would require and email address for each one.

Thanks for answering this question. We went ahead and set up accounts for everyone. Although quite tedious at first, we stumbled on the xbox family setting and that made things go way more smoothly. There is certainly a learning curve and my wife is currently watching YouTube tutorials on security settings/parental controls for kids. Thanks again.

Main account wil be ".live" or Hotmail . This Address will be ur XBox Main admin. After u have This address You can add social media accounts, apps ect. When. U set ur accounts use the numerical / pattern codes this will swiftly log u in
