MTS (ISPs): Mixer streaming quality concerns
Hey there,

As a full-time console direct streamer (I also use Lightstream) this is on the console end and not yours. I sometimes experience this as well and I have a 400 meg down connection. It's the blight of being a console streamer but keep in mind they are constantly
making improvements. I am an Alpha Skip Insider member as well and they have done some updates recently. It might be worth it to also contact the very responsive Mixer team to see if they can offer any advice or hit up the Mixer unofficial Discord.

How Do You Stream?

Stream direct is good but sacrifice in quality is better to do ot usinh a capture card I love Mixer it has better options and very low latency compared to Twitch

Xbox Live at GamesCom starting @12 pdt

Well I decided that despite not liking one of the presenters that much that I'd watch it on Mixer after all. But the DLC mixpot was pretty underwhelming when announced and the Mixer stream kept on dropping the quality and stopping. Ironically Twitch was perfect in HD, I can see the individual hairs on the Ubsoft guys head lol.

Unfortunately there is no way to manage my output. It is all 'auto' based on Mixer.

Not sure this helps me much.

Im wondering if my xbox one (not S or X) is the problem? Is it not made to handle streaming at a constant 1080 or even 720 output?

I prefer Mixer if you are streaming directly from your Xbox. You can download the Mixer Creator App to control your stream and interact with your aaudience. Twitch is good as well, but you need a good quality connection to produce quality video .

I really prefer mixer, I have never liked twitch since the beginning. The streams are always terrible, not sure if its due to my location. Struggles to stream low quality, where on mixer I can stream 4k no problems. I think mixer would become more popular
if they added more platforms and apps.
