    MSFS 2020 wont start.


    I have downloaded and installed the download version of MSFS2020. Deluxe premium Edition. When i click on start for play. The intro screen picture is visible, clockwork hour glass rotates then screen changes to the desktop with no error messages or game
    picture or sound. Zero, Zilch.

    ANY ideas what is going wrong. My PC way exceeds the hardware requirements.

    MSFS 2020 will not start.

    The version of the game on the discs is 3 years old, and no longer functions

    It has been replaced by the 40th Anniversary Edition, which all existing users have been upgraded to free

    You will have to download the game regardless due to all the changes in 3 years

    Have you tried any troubleshooting steps like restarting the device and wait for at least 5mins to see if it works?

    Microsoft flight simulator 2020 crashes while loading

    I can also confirm this worked for me on PC. I downloaded the XBOX app via the store.

    Then, in store, clicked the three dots.

    Then "downloads and updates" and sure enough there was an update for MSFS 2020 1.19.9.0. This was 507.0MB.

    I then started MSFS 2020 which went to its own install manager and showed me the "Standard Content" mandatory update which was 108.12MB. The total download, however, was 3.19GB.

    I then downloaded all available updates in content manager.

    Once all this was complete I quit to desktop and restarted MSFS 2020 without issue.

    I think it's VERY strange to need to install the XBOX app for any updates to show in the PC's Microsoft store!!
