MSFS 2020 via Cloud Gaming: "You do not have enough space on this disk" error

Hi all,

I've been using MSFS 2020 since it launched on Game Pass Cloud Gaming (multiple reasons i.e. potato PC, Series X/S out of my price range etc) and it seems I'm running into a space issue with being able to install 1st/3rd party addons-most of which I've paid for.

So my questions are, what is the actual available disk space on Xcloud (seems like its about 50 gigs, but who knows), and if it is limited, is there a way to purchase more?

It seems kind of strange that with a game this size, they wouldn't have increased the capacity a bit. From a business standpoint, I sort of get it: MS is trying to encourage users to buy SERIES S/X rather than paying a monthly fee for Xcloud etc etc.

Any info on this would be great, since it seems like I'm the only one who uses this platform exclusively to run MSFS and there really isn't much info out there in general about running it on XCloud.

Your gameplay on other devices may be limited. Streamed games may have limited functionality, for example:

Limited video resolution;
Limited audio outputs;
Limited game save storage (cloud saves only);
Limited in-game purchases;
Limited user-generated content functionality;
Limited companion app support; and/or
Limited accessory and peripheral support.

If you want more inapp use you are going fo have to buy a compatible system and install the game and it is still in beta service

The limit may increase or decrease in the future

Increasing Series consoles sales that would be a no as the consoles are sold at a loss (subsidized) they make it up on subscriptions and game sales

The bigger a game.gets the less performance you receive especially since you are streaming it

Which is also why local coop isn't supported

this is not his issue, due to game updates the game is larger than what is available, he will need to upgrade his drive, stop giving wrong diags to people.

because the game is approx 135GB on PC but it requires a min of 150GB available and when downloading will require much more due to downloading and unpacking the files, once the files are unpacked and installed the temp files are removed.

Hello Mat, your PC may not have deleted some temporary files that stayed on your PC.

Try to follow the procedures below.

1 - Type cmd (Command Prompt) in the search bar of the Start menu and then click Run as administrator.

2 - Enter chkdsk /f/x/r/v

The system will ask you if you want to run CHKDSK after restarting the system, press S on your keyboard and then type "Exit" and restart the computer, it will scan in DOS mode.
