    Hello,

    I have a Microsoft account that was created with a third party e-mail at first. A few weeks ago, I decided to change the primary alias of my Microsoft Account with a new Outlook e-mail account and this e-mail is now my new primary alias. However I encountered an issue with Microsoft Flight Simulator and I get this message each time I open the game : Cannot synchronize your data with the cloud PC. I can't also connect to any servers into the game. Also, when opening the newest Xbox app on Windows 10, my Microsoft account is always disconnected from the app and everytime I sign in, there is a pop up flicking on the screen with the Xbox logo saying Please Wait and it flickers for like 5 minutes. I contacted Microsoft support today, and the agent told me that it is not a bug and it is normal that when changing the primary alias of my Microsoft account that I get these issues. I'm pretty sure it is a bug, especially that there is no warning message when changing the main alias of your Microsoft account saying that it can cause issue with your Xbox account. Also, according to the Xbox help page, is should not cause any issue by changing the alias of Microsoft account : Change the email address or phone number for your Microsoft account | Xbox Support .

    I found two temporary fixes and the second one proves that it is a bug :

    1- Revert the main alias to the old third party e-mail

    or

    2- Keep the new Outlook e-mail as the primary alias, delete the new Xbox app on Windows 10 and install the old Xbox companion app on Windows 10 (this really proves that it is a BUG).

    Microsoft engineers need to solve this issue and technical support agents need to stop saying that it is not a bug.

    Hi Buck,

    I had this exact same issue. I downloaded the companion app (as you said) and then it all worked! After I started up MSFS it told me to sync my cloud data, I pressed continue and now suddenly the new Xbox app works again with my new Microsoft alias email! Definitely something Microsoft needs to fix, but in the meantime, I will need to contemplate how much of my life I wasted re-downloading MSFS... Thanks for your help!

I have the same issue, spent about two hours getting the runaround from Microsoft support and xbox support, kept getting transferred back and forward and being promised they would help only to just dump me off to the next agent... So tell me MS... did I lose my money??? Bc I no longer have access to the old email used and now that it is changed I cannot revert back so I'm locked out?? get your s*** together

    Unfortunately that section is related to Xbox One. I'm using a PC.

    At least now we have the correct translation: We couldn't sync your info with the cloud.

    My connection is good (1Gbit).

    Any other idea?
