    Hi all. This is my first post so please don't shoot me down for possibly asking a silly question. I have recently bought an XBox one X and got Forza 4 & 7 with it. These are downloaded games from the Microsoft store. When I first downloaded the games I noticed
    the download speed was very slow and flicking all over the place from Kbps to Mbps to nothing. My router speed test is suggesting 20Mbps download(middle of the day) so I know the speed is there. Took me two days to complete the 98.63GB download. I have just
    deleted the game (on purpose) and am downloading agin but the server seems to still be slow. Has anyone else experienced this and was there anything that could be done to speed it up? Is there a setting in the box for download/upload speeds?

    Would appreciate your help/suggestions

    A couple of hours and it's back to its kind of normal. No data - 22 mb/s in a matter of seconds and then back down to nothing again. Been watching it now for a few minutes and the data downloads in waves/increments changing every second. The download has

    I just want to add that I strongly recommend that you run an ethernet cable from your router to your xbox if it is possible. I would also unplug your router and modem for five minutes and plug them back in. I have a 200 MBps connection and I love it
    when I see KB as the download speed at times. Usually it is just a matter of unplugging my modem and router. Your internet provider could also be doing maintenance and that could bog down your download times.

    There has been an ethernet cable to the console from the router until just recently. I have just connected the console to the wifi 5Ghz just to try something different. I have the router connected to the NBN modem and the console connected to the router.
    The speed test on the console is great. The speed test on the network is great. The actual download speed to the console is not good. The only thing I can come with is the Microsoft server???

    No question is silly, if you have a concern/question regarding your Xbox experience feel free to ask in the forums, as long as they abide by the Terms of Service of the forums.

    Thanks for that. I had done all the suggested possibilities already (by coincidence) because it seemed logical. There are no other games on the console. I only have Forza 4 & 7 and 7 is the only game currently downloading. The console download speed is suggesting
    35MBps and my speed test is saying 42MBps, but still the monitor I am watching with the download screened, is floating from nothing to teens MBps. Now that I've said that, it's now downloading at 37.05 Mb/s. (must have heard me) I dont expect that to remain
    for long.
