MS, please, you need to patch your Bluray App ASAP, again.

I agree a lot of the issue's aren't related to the bluray discs, it's the firmware on the bluray drive or the app that needs patching, I had something different happen though, my issues was with X-Men: The Last Stand on bluray, it just give me the error
message saying the firmware needs updating on the bluray player in order to play the disc, I put it in my ps4 and it worked first time, tried it with two other bluray players and they all played it flawlessly.

So there must be a lot of firmware/patches required for the drive for certain blurays. I'm sure they will find out what the problem is and hopefully patch the app or address the issues in the next firmware update

have the same problem with bluray movies. no problems with DVDs, games and even 3d bluray movies. the weird thing is last weekend my bluray worked when i was not logged in with my profile. when i logged in, it stopped working, then i tried again without
my profile and worked again.

you can try deleting permanent storage: settings, all settings, discs and bluray, bluray, permanent storage, clear.

Later install/uninstall bluray app.

Powercycle console and try again.

If issue persist, test disc on other console, if continues game disc is damaged (need to get another disc) but if other consoles install game then your disc drive need repair your console.

I tried again just the other day, and worked fine. Either they patched the glitch, or I had to close the app after it installed, and reopen it. Try downloading your BluRay app, shut down the xbox, and restart it and put in the disk. If this doesn't work,
I don't know what will. Good luck!

Are you connected to the internet? When you start the bluray app, if you are connected to the internet and signed in to Live), it should tell you an app update is available. I got a bray app update this morning when I tried a bluray.

If that doesn't prompt you to update, then I'd uninstall the bluray app, reboot the machine and then install the bluray app again.
