MS FS2020 downloaded ok but won’t launch?

Hello,

I downloaded FS2020 from steam with no issues, however when i press play the launcher pops up for 1 second then closes down again.

I have restarted the PC, un \ reinstalled the software but same issue. Considering the hype around this game and cost it is very dissapointing. Please help.

I had the same problem and also re-installed the game (a 7 hour download, again...) After 2 days I found the solution: The sim stopped working at the point where it said 'press any key to start'. It turned out that that's the point where it starts checking
for updates. It does so in the Microsoft Store. When I opened the MS Store-app, I found out that I wasn't logged in. After I logged in by typing my PIN number, and then started FS 2020, it worked as it should. I hope this will solve your problem!

How did you get on , i have the same issue, the launcher opens , press any key and the window closes , i am also signed in

Hi Vincent, thanks for your response. Its a bit ridiculous that we have to sign into MS to play, but i will try that.

The PC you have is designed for office work, it’s likely nearly impossible to upgrade due to inadequate power supply and custom motherboard and case

Your best bet for the cheapest outcome would be to play the game via the cloud by signing up for game pass ultimate

Your second cheapest option would be to purchase an Xbox Series S which is $299, or a Series X which is $499 for higher performance.

A computer capable of running the game well that would last and be worth the expense. would be over $1000.
