    Moving to Scotland and taking My American Xbox One X


    I am moving to Scotland for University from California. I would like to bring my Xbox one X along and use Xbox Live. I will purchase a TV or Monitor in Scotland. What do I need to make my set up work? Is a Power Adapter all I would need?

    The Xbox One X has an internal power supply that automatically switches from 110 to 220V and vice versa.

    So all you need is an UK power cord (or travel adaptor). A power converter is not needed for the console itself.

    Since you say you move to Scotland because of University, are you living on Campus, or are you living in a (rented) house?

    Be aware, that if you live on the school campus, the school's IT network might prevent you from using certain gaming features. So if in doubt, talk with the school's IT department. And I recommend bringing a bag of pastries with you, when you ask them. That's
    how I got a dialup-modem access for my Dreamcast back when I was studying.
