Yes that's right. Since your billing and region are still set to Australia and you haven't updated the new info as of yet, your boyfriend can still access things normally.

The minute you change your account info to match the new region you will lose access to the games you purchased previously (If digital) and subscriptions as well. When I travel to different countries I keep my account stuff the same since I'm eventually
coming back. Since you're moving permanently though you will most likely have to update your account to reflect the new billing info. If that's the case you will need to purchase everything again.
