Moved house and sons xbox has reset to old game name can't seem to get his current game name ...

HELP please!! My sons dad did a factory reset on his xbox one and now everything is gone. We tried logging in and it got a different picture and name connected to it. Does anyone know how to get rid of that name we dont know and get his old profile and
his games back??? Thank you in advance from a mom who is stuck at home with a very sad 9 year old!

My son set up his name tag OGGI Ace on xbox when he first got his xbox. There was no charge to do this on signing up.

He is adamant he did not change his his name tag himself. He says in order to play Epic a new name tag to play Epic was created by Epic. Xbox then seemed to have applied that Epic name tag to his xbox and changed his xbox game tag. We dont understand howvthis
happened but it did. He wants his original game tag back and on his current account. I dont understand why you dont check the account from your end in order to help resolve this issue rather than fob me off to chase Epic?

Mjoll in Riften has the same thing happen. She has a guy named Aerin that follows her everywhere, and if you marry her and move her away, Aerin does the same thing. I moved her to Whiterun and when I dismissed her and sent her home, boom.. there is Aerin
in my house.

Of course I opted to Violently murder Aerin and stash his annoying corpse in the basement of his own house in Riften. That seemed to work pretty good, and now me and the wife seem to have an understanding because I never see any other uninvited guests in my
house.

In that case, your son signed in with a different email than he used before.

If the account was set up by his dad, is it possible that the kid used his dad's email (which he should NOT!).

If you sign in your son with the previously used email, he should have his old name and picture again.

If my grandson already has a gamertag name and progress on his xbox 360 here when he starts a new console at his house does he have a new gamertag or is all his progress and name stay the say or does it start all over.

If your grandson's gamertag is associated with an XBox LIVE account, he can log into the other console, and all achievements associated with the account will be visible on the other console, and any digital game/content purchases made on the account are
downloadable to the new console. Additionally, if the LIVE account is a Gold account, game saves can be stored in the cloud, where they can be accessed from the other console as well.

If the gamertag is just a local profile on the console at your house, he will need to move the profile and any game saves/progress he wants access to on that console to a USB drive, where he can then move them to the other console at his house.
