    Moved from USA to UK, digital games question.


    Hi I just moved from California to the UK. I ordered and received the 220v power supplys for my girlfriend and my xbox one's/360s. We have transferred are american accounts to an UK account and switched our region on the systems. My question is if we download
    the upcoming Borderlands pre-sequel off of live marketplace here in the UK, would we be bale to play it? I know the xbox 360 disc are region locked, but I am not sure about how it is applied to the digital content.

    Hi so I recently moved from the UK to USA and bought a new Xbox 360 console in USA so it will be a NTSC console. Now before I moved I bought Battlefield in the uk, so I then re downloaded it onto my new console in the states. But it will not run as it
    is a Pal game and not NTSC, is there anyway around this or am I going to have to re buy this game and spend yet more money. Any help would be great thanks

    You will have to create a new gamertag with the region as a US one. Bear in mind that MS Points bought in the States are region locked and will not work on your Canadian account.

    yes certain games and stuff are region locked and if your console, account, and physical regions do not match then you cannot get those region locked content. the only thing you would have to do if you cannot download said content is to get a UK based 360
    since your account and physical regions are UK then you would need a UK console good luck.

    Moving from USA TO UK

    Once you change regions you may have issues downloading items if you leave your gamertag set to the US so if you have anything you want to bring with you then be sure to download it first just in case.

    Also, please see the link below on how to change the region of your gamertag along with issues that may prevent it.

    Hello, did it state that game was region locked? Like it can only be brought from USA to USA or UK to UK...not USA to UK it will be region locked. Does friend live in same region??

    As I said Amazon are already doing digital downloads for PS4 in the USA and apparently Game in the UK will be announcing digital games very soon for Xbox One according to Reddit users.

    SO basically because it's a content download, they reserve the right to prevent you using previously purchased content, even though the EU always has compatability with games since the region is the same? IE if you buy a Sims disc from Germany and a expansion
    in UK, they work together - unlike if you bought one from USA and one from UK.

    Point being my xbox is from the UK - the game was bought in the UK so my licence is valid and microsoft cannot legally prevent me playing the game just because I moved!
