Moved from UK to Canada wanting to purchase Xbox One S and get 50,000 points

Hi, I just moved to Canada from the UK and my account was created in the UK with my previous Xbox. I am wanting to buy the Xbox One S with the free game and $50 gift card on the Microsoft store but I would also want to make sure to get the 50,000 rewards
points so how do I get the reward points when purchasing the Xbox?

And also do I need to change my location to make sure I can get the points for CAD, if so how do I go about doing this?

    Thanks, Mike

    :)

I purchase a Xbox One S from Microsoft to get the 50,000 reward points. I still have not received those and it has been a month.

To update your region in the rewards program (if you've already migrated your Xbox account), you'll need to opt out of the program and then re-register after a few days.

In order to get the 50,000 credits, you have to purchase the console through microsoftstore.com.

    Hello Mehawl,

In order to reset your account to correctly track purchases in CAD, you should first head over to the Microsoft Commerce page at (https://commerce.microsoft.com)
to update your Microsoft account region. We currently see that you are still set to the UK. Once you can confirm that your region has been switched, to Canada from the bottom of your MyRewards page, you can opt out of the program at (https://rewards.xbox.com/optout/). wait
48 hours and then sign back up again, which can also take 48 hours.

While you will lose your progress by starting a brand new account, you can start earning Rewards Credits that will successfully reward your newly registered regional currency. To confirm that you have re-registered correctly, you can check your join date
from the MyRewards page at (Xbox Live Rewards). If your join date shows a specific date and not a date of "???", then your
account has successfully been re-registered. If you open a new post after being able to log in to your new Rewards account, you can request any pending deposits from your old account to your new one.

However, since the upgrade to Xbox One S is a offer for select members, this will cause you to lose eligibility for this offer. This will cause you to lose your expedited shipping code, which should be fine, since it is only registered to work for purchases
from the UK store. Therefore, if you make this console purchase after re-registering, you may be awarded 30,000 instead of 50,000 Credits. We will make a note of your account, and if this occurs, then let us know with a new post. The console Credits should
appear 15 days after shipping. Just be sure to make your purchase through MicrosoftStore.com, as Smwutches says.

    1. Your account will still be able to connect to Live no matter where you live.

    2. From what I understand retail disc games for the Xbox One will be region free but your gamertag will still need to be set to Scotland with a valid local form of payment in order to purchase digital games so be sure to migrate your account when you head
    there.

I would also recommend contacting phone support to see about getting a proper power brick for your console to prevent power issues before heading out there.
